When your child has been identified as having a learning disability, you can sometimes feel very isolated and angry. It can be hard, at times, to find the information you need in order to support your child. Whether they have problems with basic reading, reading comprehension or dyslexia, there are many strategies you can use to help your child improve their reading comprehension and retention.
One system, known as the PQ4R system, has been proven to help in these arenas. The PQ4R system is so named because of the steps involved in this strategy: Preview, Question, Read, Reflection, Reciting, and Review.
