For many children, spelling can be a difficult and frustrating task. They mix up the letters, lose concentration, or simply cannot figure out the spelling of the word without some extra help. First off, let me say this is completely normal. Spelling skills develop over time – years, in fact – and for the most part, consistent work at school and at home will help them overcome any spelling difficulties. If your child seems to have particular difficulties in this area, I have some strategies to help your child learn to spell even the most difficult words.
